Little Athletics SA has over 50 years of history in developing children of all abilities by promoting positive attitudes and a healthy lifestyle through family, fun and fitness. With over 50 affiliated clubs in the metropolitan and regional areas they have over 6000 participating athletes per annum.
As Chief Executive Officer you will be responsible for the leadership, strategy and financial management of Little Athletics SA. Maintaining a financially sustainable organisation is key to funding the activities that enables them to achieve their mission of developing children of all abilities by promoting positive attitudes and a healthy lifestyle through family, fun and fitness. As such you will be “the face” of the organisation and will build on the organisation’s strong commercial and public sector partners and identify new opportunities.
Providing leadership to the committed and experienced small team you will also ensure that the many volunteers are also supported and operate in a safe environment that enables Little Athletics to deliver to their participants, members and the wider community.
Little Athletics SA needs an experienced leader who is able to be both strategic and “hands on” staying focused on achieving the objectives and milestones of the strategic plan. Commercially and financially astute you will be respected for your capacity to grow and maintain strong business partnerships that will ensure the continued financial sustainability of the organisation that will enable the grow of the participant base.
As the face of the organisation, you will be confident in dealing with the media, government and lobby groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as are advanced planning and people management skills.
There are exciting times ahead for Little Athletics SA having won the right to host the 2024 and 2025 Australian Little Athletics Championships. You can play a pivotal role in leading the organisation to achieve success.
A salary package of cash, super and fully maintained car of approximately $142K will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
