This CBD located organisation has an investment portfolio with assets greater than $250 million and has an Australian Financial Services Licence. Join the team responsible for ensuring the prudential management and reporting for these assets.
Reporting to the Manager and providing leadership to the small, dedicated team you will have responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of input of financial and non-financial reports for management and the Board. At year end you will have accountability for the preparation of the financial statements including liaison with the Auditors.
Having systems and processes that ensure that the organisation is able to meet current and future reporting and regulatory requirements will also be part of your remit. This will need you to be up to date with APRA and ASIC regulations and liaise with the Risk and Compliance Officer.
We are seeking a CA/CPA (or eligible for membership) Assistant Manager who is recognised for their technical excellence and who has a willingness to gain further post graduate requirements as required by ASIC and APRA. You will have the organisational skills to assist with the planning and evaluation of the workflow of the team to ensure that deadlines are met.
This is the next step for an experienced Assistant Manager/Senior Accountant ready for a leadership role where their financial reporting expertise will be utilised and the opportunity to be involved in investment decisions is a reality. Any experience gained in a banking and finance environment would be highly regarded.
