The Clare Valley is one of Australia’s oldest wine regions with a history dating back to the early 1840s.  The Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association was formed on 1 July 2018, following the merger of the separate wine and grower associations.  The Association now wish to appoint a General Manager to lead the CVWGA into the future.

The General Manager is responsible for driving CVWGA to meet its strategic plan objectives.  As the CVWGA is funded by a mix of producer levies and government grants stakeholder engagement will be vital to the success of the Association and the General Manager.

Marketing and promotion of the Clare Valley’s premium viticulture, wine making and associated tourism activities is also an important part of your brief.

The diversity of the role means that we need an experienced General Manager who can be both strategic and hands on ensuring that domestic and international marketing and promotional campaigns are devised and implemented.  You will have proven financial management experience to ensure the delivery of on time and accurate reporting to the Board.  It is essential that you are recognised and respected for your ability to develop and sustain strong, professional, business partnerships that will enhance your ability to achieve success for the Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association.

Tertiary qualification or significant leadership and management experience is essential for this role.  Any exposure to the wine, grape or tourism industries would be highly regarded.
