The focus for Charles Sturt is ‘building today for the city of tomorrow’ and this role is pivotal to the City achieving their objectives.
Reporting to the CEO and as an integral member of the Executive Team, the General Manager Asset Management Services is accountable for ensuring the best value services to the residents and ratepayers of the City of Charles Sturt through the development and delivery of the following functions:
- Engineering Strategy and Assets
- Field Services
- Open Space, Recreation and Property
- Waste and Sustainability
- Asset Management
The diversity of this role means that we need an effective senior leader with proven experience leading in large, complex and diverse organisations. The AMS Division is responsible for day to day asset maintenance, capital works program delivery and asset related policy and strategic advice. Used to managing large projects to completion on time and on budget, you will possess exceptional interpersonal skills that will see you respected by all with whom you interact.
You and your people are the face of Council and as such you will drive a culture that is accountable, adaptable and customer focussed.
Collaborative by nature, forward thinking and politically astute you will bring your “can do” attitude to this important role. Your experience would ideally be supported by a tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Engineering or Built Infrastructure or similar. A salary package in the mid $200s is on offer.
