Adelaide Film Festival (ADL Film Fest) is an eleven-day celebration and exploration of Australian and International screen culture with a unique program of screenings, forums and special events. The event has rapidly established itself as one of the boldest and most innovative in the country and has made a name for itself internationally as a platform for exciting new talent in the Australian industry.
The cornerstone of the Festival is the Adelaide Film Festival FUND, an ongoing biennial fund of $1m for equity investment in Australian films, funded through the South Australian Government. Since its inception in 2003, the FUND has helped to redefine the role of film festivals in Australia. As the first fund of its type in this country and a rarity worldwide, it has rapidly come to be recognised as a major force encouraging and showcasing new work in the Australian film industry.
Reporting to the Board the Festival Director/CEO will be responsible for presenting a Festival which celebrates and explores contemporary Australian and International screen culture.
Key to your success in this role will be your network, capacity to grow and support strategic partnerships and stakeholder management. You will know the industry. Your proven ability to navigate and capitalise on complex financial arrangements and manage governance issues is also of vital importance.
Your excellent interpersonal skills will see you thrive as the “face” of the organisation and will ensure you continue to inspire the team that will support you. As an experienced senior leader in multifaceted arts/cultural organisations you will have the capacity to formulate, articulate and implement a dynamic vision and translate it into reality.
This role stimulates innovative screen production and raises the profile of arts and screen culture in South Australia. Take the lead!
